Yamaha Fife Recorder Book?
I recently got a yamaha fife recorder and I was wondering if there was a book I could purchase to help me learn the fife. I also purchased the sopranino, soprano, and alto recorders that are all from their 20-series.
So if there was a book for those recorders it would be nice if you could tell me what they are. Oh yeah! I also have a little bit of an experience from a recorder/book set by First Act.
Mamianka already gave you a good answer, but yes, you can easily teach yourself recorder on your own.
Also, you can start with the sorpano and alto ones, and once you know them, you can play all of them. The soprano and tenor have the same fingerings and the sopranino, alto and bass have the same fingerings.
And no, fife and recorder are NOT the same thing, as mamianka said. A fife is a TRANSVERSE instrument with emouchure like a flute, and a recorder is VERTICAL.
