Vintage Zildjian
What kind of hi hat do you recommend to get that vintage Rock and Roll sound?
I was listening to the Sultans of Swings by Dire Straits and the sound of that hi hat is so nice. Would a pair of Zildjian New Beats give that sound?
Right now I use a pair of Sabian Pro 14 inch hats which are B8 metal. They are pretty bright and don’t give that sound.
Which hi hats should I look for to get that 70’s stick and chick sound.

I use Sabian 13″ AAX hats. They have a great sound, especially when recording. As for sounding like Dire Straits, I think you should try Sabian 14″ Rock Pro hats. They have a supurb sound and many of today’s (and yesterday’s) touring rock bands use this hi-hat all the time for it’s clean delivery and overall sound.
