How do I keep a tenor recorder dry?
I’ve got a tenor recorder, which I absolutely love to play, but I’ve recently developed a new problem. It gets really wet inside, really quickly, to the extent where it sounds fuzzy and quacks a lot. I’ve got a mop, but it quickly gets sodden and can’t get enough of the moisture out. I used to be able to put my fingers in the hole and blow hard to clear it, but that doesn’t work any more.
I’ve recently increased the amount of water I drink, so it could just be that my breath is more moist than before, but I still can’t understand why it’s quite so wet.
Has anyone else had this problem? Do you have any ideas how to prevent it, or to efectively clean the recorder so that I can play for more than 10 minutes at a time?

I had this problem too.
You’re probably pushing too hard with your mouth.
I had to really learn to relax when I played because I was concentrating so hard on the music. It was a long time before I realized what was happening. Actually I was playing a harmonica and that’s when I noticed my tendency to push so hard with my mouth and lips.
