When children born to Mormons are taught songs like, “Follow the prophet,” is this child abuse?
Mormons teach their children a song called “Follow the prophet.” The lyrics of the song deal with biblical prophets and are designed to teach children that bad things happen when one doesn’t ‘follow the prophet.’ Do you think this is indoctrinating children to cast aside any truth verification process and just blindly follow anyone who they’re told is a prophet? Do you think this is a harmful and detrimental thing to teach children?
It’s no worse than what happens when Christians teach their children songs and stories from a ficticious source like the bible and tell them that its true.
No it’s not child abuse, but it’ll take the poor sods years to be deprogrammed from it all.
