Seat Stool
collecting stool samples?
I know this is a disgusting topic to talk about but I have to collect 3 samples of my stool because I’ve been bloating and the doctor wants to make sure there is no blood and that everything is a-okay. Anyways, I got the “kit” and I don’t know if I”m nervous or something but I can’t go!! Everytime I try, it just won’t come out. Especially since they gave me this white plastic thing to put on the toilet seat that collects the stool so it doesn’t fall into the toilet. So instead of using the white plastic thing they gave me I decided to just go as normal and just collect the stool from the toilet. So my question is, is it okay if there’s toilet water in it?
I am doing the SAME THING! I read the directions and they were VERY clear not to take it out of the toilet.
Anyway, I’m a freaking genius! Cut the bottom 3rd out of a garbage bag, then spread that bottom 3rd over the toilet (but under the seat, so your weight will hold it in place). Do your business, then sorta flip the bag on the floor in front of you so you can wipe (I put down news paper, but so far, no spills).
Now here is the great part. Take one corner of the garbage bag and cut it with scissors (very small). Now you can use it like a cake decorator to fill your jars!!!! I know I know, it’s gross gross gross, but it’s the best method I could come up with and NO SPILLS. I haven’t lost a drop!

Oh, anyway, it’s probably fine if there is water in the sample, but I wanted to follow the directions to the “t”. (or “S” in this case, haha)… I don’t want to have to do it again. Ya know.
