Saxophone Pads
To all you woodwind players: On a new Selmer saxophone why would the pads stick? Especially the G# key?
Just got a beautiful new Sax but the keys are sticking! Let me stress again, it’s Brand new. I was reading it may have something to do with how they treat the leather pads? Will this just gradually go away you think?
Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!
I got a brand new oboe recently and mine did the same thing. Same brand and everything. I thought it didn’t work but you just have to keep playing it and work the keys out. It should work perfectly within a day or two. If it doesn’t show any improvement soon, I would take it back!
