are some of the Bag-pipes sets on ebay less than $200 actually descent?
i really want to try and play the bag-pipes.
i have seen some bagpipes on ebay from 100 dollars to 2000 dollars. I know that i dont need a great set, i just want to try it.
just wondering if some of the cheaper ones like this

No, I strongly suggest you keep shopping around.
I bought a set just like that a decade ago…actually they cost $200 back then. Turns out that they are made in Pakistan, and they are more trouble than they are worth! Not only the bag, but the pipes as well have “leaks” in them. This makes it very difficult to play — you are constantly losing air pressure as it escapes.
I know that you just want to fool around with it, but the main issue is that with all these “leaks” you’re never able to really get them to play.
With mine I went to an actual bagpipe maker, who replaced the bag for me. We also pour some urethane or something down inside to try to seal the pipes. Also needed a new mouthpiece, and a new chanter!
