First Act guitar help?
I have a First Act guitar the parlor kind (until I can afford something better) and I wanted to know if anyone knew what are the best kind of strings to use…thanks!
There are so many different strings to choose from and until you develop an accurate ear you won’t be able to hear the difference. If you are just starting the guage of the strings is the most important factor. Most beginners prefer a 9 guage because they are easier to play. I prefer heavier guages like 10’s and 11’s because they have more mass and thusly more projection and a beafier tone. There are all sorts of mixed guage sets also, so really you just to experiment and find out what works for you.
