What are TWO good major themes in the recent movie, “King Corn”?
I need to know to sufficient and malleable themes that the movie KING CORN presented. Thanks!

The film shows how the industrialization of corn has all but eliminated the family farm, which is being replaced by larger and larger industrial farms. This trend reflects a larger industrialization of the North American food system, whereby, as was outlined in the film, decisions relating to what crops are grown, and how they are grown, are based more on economic considerations than their ramifications on the environment or the population. This is demonstrated in the film by the production of high fructose corn syrup, an ingredient found in many cheap food products, such as fast food.
I don’t know if you can draw your answers from that. I’ll see what else I can find out about the documentary.

This movie didn’t really say anything that a good google search couldn’t tell you. I was also annoyed that they made it look like every business’ products have high fructose corn syrup. No talk of many companies that are using cane sugar instead, or organic products sold at places like Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods Market. What about diet soda? There are simple alternatives to the corn machine. I don’t feel the 100% rating on rottentomatoes.com is deserved.
