Guitar body shape help!!? (Jumbo VS Grand Concert)?
Yo! I bought a Dreadnought ACOUSTIC guitar, and I really like it, but when i put the strap on the guitar and stand up and play, the guitar seems to be a tad big for me, and the music store sells the same exact guitar, but in a Grand Concert Body shape, which is just like a dreadnought, except the two deep parts on the guitar are in deeper, and the bottom is cut a little smaller i guess and also a Jumbo shape… I need help, what do you guys think i should do?? could you list the pros and cons with a Grand Concert body and a Jumbo?!

The Grand Concert body has more projection on stage which is why they called it a Grand Concert. When you play with other musicians, the guitar will play louder on demand depending on how you strum or pick.
The Jumbo also has good projections and a big sound but more crude compared to any grand concert. I have the Grand conert in the studio with a single cutaway. The volume is loud with the difference that the sound is more refined, more sweet with lots of projection. And as you pointed out, the cut is smaller which is why I chose the cutaway. The body is bigger which means more projection.
Also, the bakc and sides are very important as to the type of wood. That is what helps in the projection, not the harmony table. The table offers tonal quality.
Compare this to yelling and singing. Both have volume but one is nicer to listen to. Just like the guitar, the back and sides give the vilume and the sweetness is given by the rosette and the table top.
Note that the Jumbo is a good guitar but mostly used by country singers and players where they want projection, irrelevant of the tone as offered in concert series.
