Flute Flutes
What is the exact name of the flute/flute type Nicole Kidman is playing in “The Interpreter?”?
I really want to buy a flute (the exact flute as her would be perfect) or a flute that is wooden/african/emotionally more stimulating than a metal one (haha). If you could tell me, I would appreciate it greatly! THankS!
I haven’t seen the movie, but it’s an African flute. There are many different configurations of African flutes, which you can see and purchase from this site. I hope that you can find the exact flute that she uses!

Here is a unique example of an African flute:
Players blow across the end of this flute. The other end is closed but there are two finger holes on the sides. The instrument is carved from one piece of wood. Could it play more than two different notes?
