Drum Strap
Do you prefer Chain vs Strap vs Direct drive drum pedals?
Seems like every drummer has a preference. The Gibraltar website describes it as somethig like this: Chain = Power, Direct = Speed, Strap = response. As drummer you want all three things. Any thoughts?
i would agree with that its very accurate to what I’ve noticed. honestly i love the strap drive. power and speed comes with practice. you can get power from tuning your bass drum and speed is not something you should strive for. we’d all love to be able to be play 300 bpm but when you develop control and technique speed will come naturally. hence why i use the strap…its the shit.
