Crash Ride
Crash/Ride??? What?
alrite, in my drumkit my dad bought me about 4 months ago, the package said it includes a hi-hat, and a crash/ride cymbal. I don’t know what the crash/ride means. and why do sum drummers put their cymbals upside down??
The cymbals aren’t upside down, they’re China cymbals.
As for a crash ride, that’s just a hybrid of the two. A ride is used to keep the beat like the hi hat but it produces a different sound. Kinda like a bell.
The crash is for emphasis and is what you hit once in a while and makes a lot of noise.
