what kind of chords can i use in a song with a second guitar?
i have compose a song but i want a friend play it but playing diferents chord as a second guitar..i dont if i can use 7th 9th of something like that. .is there a rule or theory about the harmony of a second guitar..the chords of the song are.C A- E- F.please write them(the chords
Several options here. As “Joe” suggested – your friend could play “lead”.
You’re question indicates you both play rhythm guitar. Nothing wrong with that.
Most chords can be played several places on the guitar neck. For instance the “C” chord can be played in the open position, the third position and the eighth position. You could play “C” in the open position while your friend plays “C” in the third position. Would provide a nice sound. You wouldn’t both be playing the same chord in the open position.
