Addario Strings
What brand of strings do you recommend for my acoustic guitar?
I have an Ibanez AEF30EACV acoustic guitar. I’ve been using D’Addario light gauge strings…Is there another brand that should sound better on this guitar?
D’addario are good. Try the phosphor bronze strings. That will give you the best acoustic sound for your money. Martin, D’addario, Guild, etc.. make them. They are a little more expensive but well worth the purchase.
As far as gauge is concerned, the lighter gauge is easier on the finger, the sound is brighter and has more highs and mids.
The medium-light gauge will give you stronger mids and more bass on the bottom strings. The action is a little harder to play as you will notice when you put them on.
